The cross-national educational network Schools for a Living River
Elbe is based upon the ideas of Global Rivers Environmental Education
Network (G.R.E.E.N.). It started in summer 1997 and with more than 170
German and 20 Czech schools it is today the world-wide largest project
for detailed water monitoring in education. This volume describes the analysis
of the first phase of the project aimed at the correction of deficient
developments in the project.
